Old Masters 2002
Matthias Herrmann is very German.
But I thought this piece was a funny, modern take on the Old Dutch Masters aesthetic best exemplified by Jan Davidsz seen here, here, and here.
And if they were anything like their modern Amsterdamer counterparts, and I know they were, they would think so too.

Don't be so naive. You know what it is.
Ah hem, Dr., it would have been nice to have a little warning that the link wasn't 'work appropriate.'

Well, Hot Babe, I suppose that all depends on what line of work you're in, now doesn't it?
And anyway, don't you be naive. I said he was very German. What else could I have meant?

But really, I'm sorry.
I figured the picture was fair warning about his site.
My original comment also included a swipe about him being 'Mapplethorpe redux' that could have also set off a warning, but I decided it was rude, so I took it out.
At least they were small thumbnails.
Tell your boss I say hi!

Actually, the first time I looked at this post, the picture didn’t show because of an error or something. So I didn’t even see the fruit with the ‘sauce’ when I innocently clicked on the link. I didn’t see the picture you posted until later that night when I logged on from home.
Besides, I’m from MN. When I think very German, I think beer.
No worries, though. I haven’t been fired- yet. My boss sends her regards.

Papa Terry wanted to make one thing really really clear: "this is not a picture from the family photo album".
